Well-Being Salon

The Well-Being Salon was the brainchild of Wes Wooden with Modern Salon Services

He realized that sometimes cancer patients need privacy when getting their heads shaved, some dads need haircuts before returning to work, and some moms who have been in the House for weeks could use a cut and style to boost their spirits, if nothing else.

If you are a licensed hair stylist, we hope you will volunteer to help families in the Well-Being Salon at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas. Because of stylists like you, men, women and children staying in the House can get a fresh cut or style while staying many miles from home. We are only asking you for one day of volunteering, but you are certainly welcome to return at any time!

It’s a great way to give back to families!

Aside from the practical purpose of providing a needed cut, it also provides a positive emotional boost, especially to moms who are facing extreme amounts of stress while their critically ill child is in the hospital.

If you would like to volunteer as a licensed stylist, please check the calendar below for open dates and contact Erica Carlock at erica@rmhcarkansas.org or 501-537-3910. She will get you scheduled!
