A Message from the Artist

As an artist rooted in the Southern experience, my work honors the stories, resilience, and beauty of the communities that raised me. Through mixed media painting, collage, and quilt-inspired layers, I explore themes of family, home, and shared history.

This collaboration with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas & North Louisiana is especially meaningful to me — not only because of the mission of RMHC, but also through my friendship with CEO Janell Mason, who has remained a thoughtful supporter and collector of my work over the years.

I am honored to offer artwork that reflects the spirit of togetherness and healing that RMHC brings to families. Just as quilts piece together fragments of life into something whole and comforting, I hope this piece will inspire a sense of hope, belonging, and strength for those it touches.

In 2005, our CEO Janell Mason and her husband, lifelong art collectors, commissioned an original mixed media piece titled “Walk on Sunday Morning” from renowned artist Terry Lynn and his brother Jerry. Featured in At Home in Arkansas, this striking canvas was created for the Masons’ personal collection. Over the past two decades, the Masons have maintained a meaningful relationship with Terry, who has generously contributed original works to support various nonprofit organizations—including several causes championed by the Masons themselves.
