As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, established in 1981, the mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas & North Louisiana (RMHCAR-NLA) is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. We accomplish this through our three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. All services are free to families thanks to generous donors.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
We seek an enthusiastic, outgoing fundraising professional and strategic thinker. They are a key member of the organization’s Leadership Team and serve as the lead staff for all Arkansas fundraising efforts, including capital campaigns, major gifts, annual gifts, and planned giving. They will also manage and advise the Development Manager, who is also responsible for our four annual fundraising events. The Strategic Partnerships Director is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for stewardship of the mission statement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • With the CPO, creates, develops and implements strategic and comprehensive annual fundraising plan, priorities, and budget for Arkansas programs in coordination with its Strategic Plan
  • Analyzes data and reporting around fundraising achievements and goal accomplishment and readjusts strategies as necessary.
  • Provides proactive management of activities/responsibilities and programs coordinated by direct report(s).
  • Actively stewards donor relationships to provide ongoing and growing sources of funding and brand awareness.
  • Leads and implements capital campaigns in Arkansas in partnership
  • Works with CPO to establish and implement formal major gifts program that identifies, cultivates, secures, and retains major donors ($5,000+)
  • Proactively manages direct mail program.
  • Creates and executes planned giving activities
  • Identifies new sources of revenue and potential revenue streams,
  • With the Development Committee Chair, plans the agenda and supports the Development Committee to accomplish their strategic goals.
  • Provides support to the Board of Directors in their fundraising efforts and the fulfillment of their responsibilities to open doors, connect the organization with individuals and groups, and secure financial contributions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven success in nonprofit fundraising including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, and special events.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in successfully managing a team of fundraising professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers
  • Experience with fundraising software and donor databases.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Passion for our mission and those we serve. Knowledgeable of and committed to donor stewardship and retention.
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking, and community relations skills.
  • Must maintain discretion regarding confidentiality and privacy.
  • Successful experience supervising multi-dimensional staff and volunteers.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Fluency working with platforms such as Bloomerang, One Cause, and Canva will be beneficial.
  • Ability to travel for conferences, site visits to our other programs, and meetings with donors and prospects. Our events will also require evenings.

This position includes a competitive salary and benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, short and long-term disability, 403(b), 16 days of PTO, plus 10 additional holidays.
